About Me
I was born in El Centro, California and lived in Ramallah, Palestine till I was five years old. I moved back and forth from Illinois to California until I settled in Fairview Heights, Illinois when I was twelve. I am a twin and an older sister to five adorable siblings. I am involved in many activities through my school and community. I served as an officer for the chapter in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and vice president of Threads Club. FBLA allowed me to connect with many people and receive recognition multiple times on both the area and state levels. I also competed in the Chemistry Team and won 4th place in the partner event. I was also a member of the Chess Club, Math Team, and Archery Club. Besides school activities, I volunteered as a teacher in the Belleville Masjid for Arabic and Islamic Studies for 3 years. The Masjid also had a Girls and Boys Club where I served as vice president. These experiences through my school and community opened many opportunities for me, and helped me make many connections with a multitude of different people. They also inspired me to expand my hobbies into business. I now do henna for weddings and holidays and make amiguri and other crochet products in my free time and sell them throughout my community. These small businesses are what inspired me to join the Silver Creek CEO Program so that I can learn from people with more experience than myself, and grow to my full potential.
