Laurie Wager

Laurie was born and raised in Mascoutah, and currently resides in O’Fallon. She is the mom of three grown men and “Lala” to two sweet grandsons. For 15 years, Laurie had the privilege of coaching high school cheerleaders—an experience that taught lessons far beyond the walls of the gymnasium. Her passion to shape athletes into confident young leaders within their schools and neighborhoods was on display with countless hours of community service by her teams. During her tenure as coach, Laurie was honored by the Mascoutah Chamber of Commerce as Citizen of the Year, the Illinois High School Association as Illinois Coach of the Year, and the National Federation of State High School Associations as National Coach of the Year. Her coaching experience, coupled with her background as a former business owner, naturally sparked her interest in the CEO program. She brings a contagious energy to those around her and a genuine passion for mentoring students and giving back to the community. “For me, this opportunity is more than a role—it’s a source of deep personal fulfillment. I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of launching the Silver Creek Area CEO program and look forward to helping inspire the next generation of leaders and change-makers.
