About Me

My name is David “D.J.” Schmitz, and I am a senior at Freeburg High School. I'm involved in many clubs such as Spanish Club, Leadership in Extracurricular and Athletics Development (LEAD) Team, FBLA, Industrial Arts Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). These programs focus on leadership, responsibility, and community. Outside of the classroom, I’m actively involved in the Freeburg High School soccer program. Playing soccer has taught me the importance of discipline, communication, and perseverance—skills that I use both on the field and in my future endeavors. After graduation, I plan to attend Murray State University and major in Financial Planning. My long-term goal is to build a career in financial management, where I can help businesses and individuals make smart and sustainable financial decisions. I’m excited to continue pursuing my passion for business while carrying forward the lessons I’ve learned through academics and athletics.
