Our final Freeburg High School graduation spotlight features Alex Fritz.
Alex will be attending the University of Arkansas, where he plans to major in Finance.
When reflecting on his year in CEO, Alex shared:
“The most impactful CEO experience I had this year was networking. Throughout the program, we had countless opportunities to meet business owners, community leaders, and professionals who were willing to share their stories and advice. What made it so impactful was realizing how valuable these connections can be, not just for our class projects, but for our futures. Every person we met offered a different perspective, a lesson, or a piece of wisdom that helped shape how I think about business and leadership. Networking showed me that building relationships is one of the most important skills you can have, and it’s something that will continue to benefit me long after this program is over.”
“Throughout all of our speakers and site visits, one theme kept coming up over and over again: culture matters. I learned that culture isn’t just another word. It’s the foundation of how a business operates every single day. It shapes the work environment, influences how employees treat each other, and ultimately determines whether a business can grow or if it falls apart. Hearing real business owners talk about their experiences made me realize that culture doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through leadership, communication, and the expectations you set from the beginning. A strong culture can motivate people, create trust, and make work feel meaningful. A weak culture can do the opposite and hold a business back, no matter how good the product or service is.”
Alex brought thoughtfulness, maturity, and a strong desire to learn into our program this year. It has been exciting to watch him grow through the relationships, experiences, and lessons that CEO provides.
