The day after something big…we slow down.
If you’ve been following our class, you know this has become a bit of a tradition. The morning after a big event, we don’t jump right back into business—we meet for breakfast.
Because days like yesterday? They’re long. They’re exciting. They’re a rush of adrenaline and emotion and pride all wrapped into one. And if we’re not careful, we move right past it without ever really taking it in.
So this morning, we did what we always do. We sat around a table at First Watch in O’Fallon, a little tired, a lot proud, and we just talked. We replayed moments, laughed, shared what stood out, and started to process all that yesterday was.
This matters.
Learning how to pause. Learning how to celebrate. Learning how to recognize what you just accomplished before moving on to the next thing.
Yesterday was a big day for these students. Today was about making sure they felt that.
And I’m just really grateful to get to sit at that table with them. ❤️
