Our 10th Act of Kindness comes from Jaydon Anderson of O’Fallon Township High School, and it highlights the power of showing up with intention.
Jaydon is someone who is deeply committed to growth — as a student, an entrepreneur, and a leader. He doesn’t take opportunities lightly. He chooses them. Whether it’s building his reselling business through the Silver Creek Area CEO Program or pushing himself to improve every day, Jaydon believes growth comes from discipline, resilience, and consistently showing up.
That mindset carried directly into his act of kindness.
This holiday season, Jaydon participated in an annual Random Act of Kindness event that has quietly taken place in the community for the past five years. A group of community members comes together with one shared purpose: to support hardworking individuals in the service industry who may be facing financial hardship during the holidays.
This year, the group gathered at Cracker Barrel. Donations were pooled together — small contributions combining into something much bigger. Enough was raised to surprise multiple employees with generous cash tips, including a server, a cook, and two server assistants.
Jaydon witnessed the moment the gifts were given. The reactions said everything.
What stood out most wasn’t just the money — it was the relief, the gratitude, and the reminder that someone noticed. Someone cared.
For Jaydon, this experience reinforced an important lesson: when people come together with good intentions, even small actions can create meaningful change. Kindness multiplies when it’s shared.
We are proud of Jaydon for choosing to be part of something bigger than himself and for understanding that leadership isn’t just about vision — it’s about compassion, community, and lifting others up when it matters most. ❤️
