Intentional Acts of Kindness – #7
Choosing to Give Together
This Intentional Act of Kindness comes from Alex Fritz and Eli Slightom, students at Freeburg Community High School who chose to team up and serve others together.
Eli is the kind of student who is always the first to step up—whether that means helping a classmate fix a car, picking up needed supplies, or offering support wherever it’s needed. Alex is passionate about finance and stays busy through student council and baseball, bringing leadership and commitment into everything he does. Together, they are steady, dependable leaders in our classroom.
For their act of kindness, Alex and Eli took part in a meaningful Fritz family tradition. They purchased, wrapped, and hand-delivered gifts to families who may be facing difficult circumstances this holiday season.
There was intention in every step—from choosing the gifts, to wrapping them with care, to delivering them personally. It wasn’t about recognition. It was about showing up for others in a season when hope, generosity, and kindness matter deeply.
Alex and Eli remind us that kindness can be even more powerful when it’s shared. When leadership looks like action. Giving becomes even more powerful when it’s a tradition passed from one heart to another.
We are incredibly proud of both of them for choosing to give their time, resources, and care to brighten the holidays for others. ❤️
