Kindness is officially in motion—and this is just the beginning.
Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing powerful, student-led Acts of Kindness that remind us how compassion shows up in everyday moments. Each story is different. Each heart behind it is intentional. And we hope you’ll keep checking back daily to see the incredible ways our students are making a difference.
Our very first student Act of Kindness belongs to Audra Johnson, a student from O’Fallon Township High School. Audra shares a close bond with her family and is a genuinely kindhearted young woman who leads with empathy. She is passionate about traveling, music, and caring for the environment—interests that reflect her curiosity about the world and her desire to leave it better than she found it.
This holiday season, Audra chose to spend her time creating handmade cards for children in the hospital—children who may be facing long days, difficult moments, and time away from home. With paper, markers, and a whole lot of heart, she created something simple yet deeply meaningful: a reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
Audra shared why this act meant so much to her:
“I felt happy doing this for children who probably don’t have much to look forward to. It gives them something to decorate their room and to feel special. I hope that what I’m doing puts a smile on their faces.”
That hope—of a smile, a moment of joy, a feeling of being special—is exactly what kindness is all about. Audra’s thoughtful gesture reminds us that even the smallest acts can create the biggest impact.
We are incredibly proud of Audra for leading the way. This is only the first story—and we can’t wait to share many more. ❤️ Stay tuned.
