Living the Lesson: When Kindness Becomes Our Business

All year long, we’ve had the privilege of learning from incredible business owners and leaders throughout our community. If there is one lesson that has risen above the rest, it’s this: the most successful businesses—and lives—are built on being a good person and giving back wholeheartedly. That lesson didn’t stay tucked inside our portfolios. It settled deep in our hearts.

This past week, our Silver Creek Area CEO students have been living that lesson through intentional Acts of Kindness. Our journey began by delivering thank-you treats to the incredible staff at all four of our schools who helped make the CEO program possible. Along the way, students shared heartfelt words of gratitude for this opportunity and reflected on just how meaningful this journey has been for them.

What we’ve experienced so far has been powerful. These acts have reminded us that kindness creates a ripple—one that brings real joy, connection, and purpose. We aren’t just learning about service; we’re feeling the impact of lifting others up.

And the journey isn’t over. Each student is now carrying the baton forward, committing to a personal act of kindness before the holidays. They are stepping up, taking ownership, and showing us that the future is bright—and deeply compassionate.

We are beyond proud of their empathy, leadership, and action. Kindness truly is the greatest currency.
