This morning felt special. Our class stepped into June's Breakfast + Patio in Shiloh, and it was like discovering a hidden treasure right in our own backyard. Many of our students had never been there before, but after today, they’ll never forget it!

Entrepreneur Jon Welzbacher shared the story of how he and his wife Liz turned challenge into opportunity during COVID. They dreamed of creating a place where people could slow down, share a meal, and connect. A place without screens, filled with local flavors, sustainable practices, and the warmth of history woven into every detail. That dream became June’s, named after Jon’s grandmother—a reminder of family, legacy, and love.

As Jon spoke about the specifics of building a business from the ground up, to challenges along the way, he stressed the importance of staying true to values. Our students were engaged—asking nearly 35 minutes of thoughtful, passionate questions!! It was more than a business lesson; it was a powerful reminder that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business—it’s about building a life of meaning, connection, and impact. Thank you, Jon and Liz, for opening your doors and sharing your story!
