Another amazing day in CEO!

On Wednesday, our classroom was filled with energy, laughter, and more than a few “aha” moments, thanks to Lisa Phillipson from Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc.

Lisa didn’t just step in and give a talk — she invited us into her story. As she shared her experiences, you could see the room leaning in, students hanging on to her words. It’s rare to meet someone who radiates both strength and compassion, but Lisa does it so naturally.

One of the lines that stuck with us most was her reminder that “life is not a dress rehearsal.” Every day matters. Every choice matters. And how we show up for people matters most of all.

She left us with more than advice — she left us with a challenge:
to be present, to be fair, and to lead with empathy.

Walking out of CEO today, our students weren’t just talking about what she said — they were talking about how she made them feel. That’s the kind of impact that lasts far beyond a Wednesday morning.

Thank you Lisa, for instilling your wisdom and for making a difference!
